Notice of Making a Traffic Management Order
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark on 15th October 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124, of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general effect of the Order would be to make alterations to various parking places in the Southwark Controlled Parking Zone (Zone C) in the following street: Great Guildford Street. A copy of the proposed Order, which will come into operation on 19th October 1998, and of the Southwark Parking Places (No. 1) and (No. 2) Orders 1987, and the Southwark (Parking Places) Order 1974, together with plans and the Council’s statement of reason for proposing to make the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Friday inclusive, until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published in the Council Offices, Chiltern, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES. A copy of the Order and further information may be obtained from Ron Shaw, Southwark Regeneration and Environment Department (Traffic Group), Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, or by telephoning 0171-525 5381. Any persons desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
