Notice of application to vary a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Denis Edward of Toms Hill House, Aldbury, near Tring, Hertfordshire, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 28/39/28/462 to abstract water from underground strata (chalk) at National Grid Reference SP 965 115 at Aldbury, near Tring, Hertfordshire. The variation being applied for is to allow abstraction from an additional borehole to provide continuity of abstraction of the volumes permitted under the existing licence. The use of this borehole will not affect the volume of water already permitted to be abstracted.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Toms Hill House, Aldbury, near Tring, Hertfordshire, between 7th September and 7th October 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Abstraction Control Manager, Environment Agency, Kings Meadow House, Kings Meadow Road, Reading RG1 8DQ, before the end of the said period.
