Stopping-up of highway

Notice is hereby given that application will be made to the Magistrate’s Court sitting at Gill Bridge Avenue, Sunderland, on 25th September 1998, at 10 a.m., or as near to that hour as the business of the Court will permit, for an Order to stop up a certain highway in the City of Sunderland, in the County of Tyne and Wear being:   A section of former highway at East Back Wearmouth Street, Monkwearmouth, and shown coloured pink on the plan hereinafter referred to.   The said plan may be inspected during normal opening hours at The Reception Desk, Department of Administration, Civic Centre, Burdon Road, Sunderland, and Monkwearmouth Branch Library, Church Street, Sunderland.   Any person who is interested in land abutting on, or served by, the said highway or who uses the said highway or is otherwise aggrieved, has the right to be heard when the application is made at the said Magistrates’ Court on the aforesaid date and time.
