Stopping-up of Highway

Notice is hereby given that application will be made to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Gill Bridge Avenue, Sunderland, on 25th September 1998, at 10 a.m. or as near to that hour as the business of the Court will permit, for an Order to stop up a certain highway in the City of Sunderland in the county of Tyne and Wear being:   A regular area of former highway commencing at point A (O.S. grid ref. NZ 438635 553297) and running in a south-south-easterly (SSE) direction for a distance of 17 metres to point B (O.S. grid ref. NZ 438640 553281). Width 2 metres situate in the vicinity of Tunstall Village Road, Silksworth, and shown coloured pink on the plan hereinafter referred to.   The said plan may be inspected during normal opening hours at The Reception Desk, Department of Administration, Civic Centre, Burdon Road, Sunderland; and Silksworth Branch Library, Vane Street, Sunderland.   Any person who is interested in land abutting on or served by the said former highway or who used the said former highway or is otherwise aggrieved, has the right to be heard when the application is made at the said Magistrates’ Court on the aforesaid date and time.
