Notice of the issue of a submarine pipe-line works authorisation

The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry hereby gives notice that he has decided to issue, and in consequence has issued, a works authorisation to be held by Shell UK Limited, whose address is Shell-Mex House, Strand, London WC2R 0DX, for the construction of two 168.3 mm pipe-lines between the Kittiwake Alpha Platform and the Kittiwake subsea oil storage facility.   Except with the consent of the Secretary of State, the 168.3 mm pipe-line shall only be used to convey crude oil.   The pipe-lines may be used by the holder and with the holder’s agreement, and with the consent of the Secretary of State, by other persons.   Shell UK Limited has been appointed operator of the pipe-lines.
