The Camden (Prescribed Route) (No. ) Traffic Order 199
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Camden propose to
make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government
Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle travelling in a
northerly direction in Kingsway and Southampton Row in the London Borough of Camden
from doing a U-turn, so as to proceed in the opposite direction, except with the permission
or at the direction of a police officer in uniform.
A copy of the proposed Order, a plan showing the location and the Council’s statement
of reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected/purchased during normal
office hours on Monday to Friday inclusive, at the Environment Department Reception,
Fifth Floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street, London WC1H 8EQ.
Any person wanting to object or make other representations to the proposed Order
should send a statement in writing of their objection and specify the grounds thereof
and address it to the Director of Environment Department, Traffic Management Section,
Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ, to reach us by 19th June
1998, within a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
