The Hampshire (Queen Street/Blacksmiths Brake, Twyford) (Prohibition of Driving and One-Way Traffic) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that on 30th March 1998, Hampshire County Council made a Road Traffic Regulation Order as follows:

   Effect of Order: To relocate the existing prohibition of driving in Queen Street, Twyford, to a point 34 metres north-west of its junction with the High Street.
   Date of Operation: The Order will come into operation on 27th April 1998.
   Further Details: A copy of the Order and a map showing the length of road affected may be inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:

  (i) Council Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester;
  (ii) County Council Information Centre, Mottisfont Court, High Street, Winchester (Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.; Saturdays 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

   Application to the High Court: Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds than any requirement of those sections or of Parts I, II, or III of Schedule 9 to the Act, or any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 have been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 11th May 1998, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
