The Greenwich (Plumstead) (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No.    ) Order 199

Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Orders would be to further amend the Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1994 and the Greenwich (Plumstead) (Free Parking Places) Order 1994 so as to provide two free parking places, operative between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, in the lengths of Lakedale Road specified in the Schedule to this notice, where vehicles may wait for a maximum period of 30 minutes with no return permitted to that same parking place within one hour. Details of exemptions from the restriction for certain vehicles and persons, together with restrictions on selling or advertising in a restricted street are contained in the original Orders of 1994.   Persons having a query concerning the proposals should contact Development Services, telephone 0181-854 888 extension 5579.   A copy of the proposed Orders,the Orders being amended and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders together with a plan showing the location and effects of the Orders can be inspected, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Development Services, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich SE18 6HQ. A copy of the proposed Order and a plan showing the locations can also be inspected at all local libraries.   Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Councils’ Agents, TMO Services, 9 Osprey Close, Whitstable, Kent CT5 4DT, quoting Ref. LBG/1103, by 2nd April 1998.   Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice open to public inspection.    Lakedale Road :   (a) the east side, from a point 10 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Tewson Road extending northward for a distance of 40 metres.   (b) the west side, from a point 10 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Conway Road extending northward for a distance of 18 metres. 12th March 1998.
