DECOMMISSIONING OF LEADON
Maersk Oil UK has submitted, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, a draft Decommissioning Programme for the Leadon Field in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1998. It is a requirement of the Act that interested parties be consulted on such decommissioning proposals.
The items/facilities covered by the Decommissioning Programme are:
The Leadon Field, situated in block 9/14 of the North Sea, approximately one hundred and ninety (190) miles North-North-East of Aberdeen in 120m water depth.
The Leadon Development consists of the following subsea infrastructure:
♦ FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) - Redeployed
♦ 8 x Production Risers and 1 x Dynamic Umbilical – Removed
♦ 2 x Drill Centres
♦ 10 x Production Wells
♦ 2 x Water Injection Wells
♦ 2 x Aquifer Well
♦ 4 x Suspended Wellheads
♦ Pipeline Bundle in two sections
♦ Various Spoolpieces
♦ 6 x Riser Bases
♦ Various Control Jumpers
♦ 4” Flexible Flowline (Gas Import line from Beryl)
