THE ELECTRICITY WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2000 (AS AMENDED)

Further to the notice that Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Limited (Company Number SC356223 – c/o Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP, 191 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 2LB) has applied to the Scottish Ministers under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate an offshore wind farm located approximately 15.5 km East of Fife Ness with bounding co-ordinates:

The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be up to 450 MW now comprising up to 90 turbines, being a reduction from the original proposed maximum of up to 125 turbines, with a maximum blade tip height of 197 metres above Lowest Astronomical Tide (LAT).

Notice, instigated by the first consultee response, is hereby given that additional information has been received by Scottish Ministers on this application. Copies of this information have been forwarded to the Angus Council, Dundee Council, East Lothian Council, Fife Council and Scottish Borders Council to be made available for public inspection by being placed on the planning register.

Any subsequent additional information of this nature received by Scottish Ministers before determination of the application, if considered to be materially relevant, will be similarly forwarded to the Angus Council, Dundee Council, East Lothian Council, Fife Council and Scottish Borders Council to be placed on the planning register and made available for public inspection. However, no further public notice will be issued.

Representations that do not include all of the above information will be considered invalid.

Fair Processing Notice

The Marine Scotland Licensing Operations Team process applications under The Marine (Scotland) Act 2010, the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 and The Electricity Act 1989. During the consultation process letters of representation can be sent to Scottish Ministers in support of or objecting to these applications.

Should Scottish Ministers call a Public Local Inquiry (PLI), copies of these representations will be sent to the Directorate of Planning and Environmental Appeals for the Reporter to consider during the inquiry. These representations will be posted on their website with address (home and email), signature and home telephone number redacted (blacked out).
