LINNHE FIELD SUBSEA FACILITIES DECOMMISSIONING PROGRAMME

Mobil North Sea LLC has submitted (on its behalf and on behalf of its Co-Venturers, Enterprise, Hess and OMV), for the consideration of the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, a draft Decommissioning Programme for the Linnhe Field subsea oil and gas production facilities in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1998. It is a requirement of the Act that interested parties be consulted on such decommissioning proposals.

The Linnhe Field is a subsea satellite of Beryl Bravo on the UKCS. It lies approximately 4 miles north east of the Beryl Bravo platform, in Block 9/13c and approximately 220 miles from the Scottish mainland.

In 1992 work was carried out in preparation for the decommissioning of the Linnhe Field and both wells were plugged, abandoned and the wellheads removed.

The current Programme covers the Linnhe Protection Structure, the Pipelines which extend from Linnhe to Beryl Bravo and the electrical umbilical.
