Notice of Prices Applying to Non-domestic Customers Under the Deemed Contract Scheme (also known as Standby) Made Persuant to Paragraph 3 of Schedule 6 of The Electricity Act 1989 Relating to Half-hourly Electricity Charges
Pursuant to the Electricity Direct (UK) Limited Deemed Contract Scheme 2003 - Electricity (“the Scheme”), new charges and methods of payment will apply to all half-hourly electricity supplied from 1st November 2004.
The charges are based on banded pricing depending on the supply area for half-hourly electricity supplied for non-domestic purposes and apply to all areas supplied by Electricity Direct (UK) (“the Company”). The charges relate to each premises supplied under the Scheme.
Bills will be issued monthly (or quarterly if agreed) and shall be paid by bank transfer, cheque or cash to the Company’s designated office. Payment methods may be subject to agreement by the Company.
These charges and payment methods are subject to change or withdrawal by the Company at any time. The Company will publish any changes or withdrawal in such manner as will secure adequate publicity for them.
The Company may offer to enter into a formal agreement on different terms and conditions with a customer taking a supply of half-hourly electricity at any premises. Details of those formal contract terms and conditions are available from any of the Company’s offices or by telephoning 01727 891729.
The charges will also apply to any customer(s) supplied as a consequence of the Company receiving a direction from the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (GEMA) to act as the supplier of last resort for such customer(s), in the absence of any specific announcement to the contrary.
