Notice is hereby given that SSE Generation Ltd has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 37 of The Electricity Act 1989 to construct a 132kV overhead line between Maybole and a proposed wind farm at Hadyard Hill, Ayrshire.
SSE Generation Ltd has also applied for consent under Regulation 2(1) of The Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2000 and for a direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (Deemed Planning Consent).
A copy of the Application and Environmental Statement, which includes a map of the proposed route, together with a Non-technical Summary, have been deposited at the locations below and will be available for inspection there until 14 November 2003 during the normal business hours of these premises:

Cheques should be made payable to “SSE Generation Ltd”. Copies of the Non-technical Summary are also available, free of charge.
Any objections or representations to the application should be made in writing to Lesley Thomson, The Scottish Executive, Consents and Emergency Planning Unit, 2nd Floor, Meridian Court, 5 Cadogan Street, Glasgow, G2 6AT, or by email at lesley.thomson@scotland.gsi.gov.uk. The representation should identify the overhead line, specify the grounds for objection and be submitted not later than 14 November 2003. The representations to the Scottish Executive will be copied to the planning authority unless the person concerned states explicitly that they do not wish their representations passed on.
Note: The application is identical to that submitted by Scottish Hydro-Electric Transmission Ltd to the Scottish Executive in April 2003 but re-submission is required following the change of the applicant to SSE Generation Ltd.
