Trunk Road T6 Carriageway Widening and Cycleway Provision Henry Street, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh

The Department for Regional Development having complied with Article 67A(7) of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 hereby gives notice in accordance with the provisions of Article 67A(8) and (9) of its intention to proceed with the proposed Henry Street Road Widening and Cycleway Provision Scheme.

The general effect of the scheme will be to improve 165 metres of the A4 Henry Street between Wellington Road and Sligo Road. The proposed scheme consists of upgrading the existing two lane carriageway to a three lane system, with two lanes approaching the junction of Henry Street and Wellington Road. The scheme will also include ancillary works including the provision of a parking lay-by on the western side of Henry Street and a shared footway/cycleway provision on the eastern side. Other ancillary works include structural works in the form of a reinforced concrete retaining wall and steel footbridge, as well as drainage, accommodation works and environmental mitigation works.

Documents containing the content of the decision, the main reasons and considerations on which the decision is based and a description of the main measures to avoid, reduce and, if possible, offset the major adverse effects of the project may be inspected by any person, free of charge, at all reasonable times during the period from 8 May to 8 June
