PRESS NOTICE

THE A86 TRUNK ROAD (KINGUSSIE) (20MPH, 30MPH AND 40MPH SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 202[]

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under sections 82(2)(a) and (b), 83,(1), 84(1)(a) and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27 of schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing 20mph, 30mph and 40mph speed limits on the following lengths of road:-

20mph Speed Limit

1. That length of the A86 Spean Bridge - Kingussie Trunk Road at Kingussie, from a point 70 metres or thereby east of the extended centre line of its junction with the U2751 The Glebe to a point 280 metres or thereby west of the extended centre line of its junction with the U2529 Ardonvie Road, a distance of 1.256 kilometres or thereby

30mph Speed Limit

2. That length of the A86 Spean Bridge – Kingussie Trunk Road at Kingussie, from a point 70 metres or thereby east of the extended centre line of its junction with the U2751 The Glebe in a generally north easterly direction to a point 412 metres or thereby east of the extended centre line of its junction with the U2751 The Glebe, a distance of 342 metres or thereby.

40mph Speed Limit

3. That length of the A86 Spean Bridge – Kingussie Trunk Road at Kingussie, from a point 280 metres or thereby west of the extended centre line of its junction with the U2529 Ardvonie Road in a generally westerly direction to a point 603 metres or thereby west of the extended centre line of its junction with the U2529 Ardvonie Road, a distance of 323 metres or thereby

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of roads involved and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 14th November 2025 until 12th December 2025 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Fifth Floor, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER and Badenoch Library, Badenoch Centre, Spey Street, Kingussie, PH21 1EH.

A copy of the Order, Plan, Statement of Reasons, revoked orders and this Notice will be available on the Transport Scotland website at: https://www.transport.gov.scot/NorthWestRoadOrders

THE A87 TRUNK ROAD (UIG) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202[ ]

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under sections 84(1)(a) and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27 of schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing a 20mph speed limit on the following length of road:-

20mph Speed Limit

That length of the A87 Invergarry to Kyle of Lochalsh to Borve to Uig Trunk Road at Uig, Skye from a point 214 metres or thereby north of the extended centreline of its junction with Lower Idrigill Road, in a generally southerly direction to a point 11 metres or thereby south of the extended centreline of its junction with Lower Idrigill Road, a distance of 225 metres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 14th November 2025 until 12th December 2025 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Fifth Floor, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER, Rankins Supermarket, P.O.
