Notices under the Trustee Act 1925
THE METAL CLOSURES PENSION SCHEME (“THE SCHEME”) NOTICE TO CREDITORS AND BENEFICIARIES UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the Trustee intends to wind up the Scheme. Through this notice the Trustee of the Scheme is seeking to establish whether there are any missing beneficiaries of whom the Trustee is unaware.
If you already receive a pension from the Scheme, or you have received any other correspondence from the Trustee within the last twelve months, you do not need to write to the Trustee because they already have details of your entitlement.
You should therefore contact the Trustee if you believe you are a missing beneficiary who is:
• an employee or former employee of Metal Closures Group PLC or one of the subsidiary companies in what was previously Metal Closures Group Limited and you think you are or were a member of the Scheme;
• a beneficiary of the Scheme as a widow, widower or dependant of a deceased member of the Scheme, or
• any other person who has a claim against, or other interest in, the Scheme.
Any such missing beneficiaries are required to write to Isio at the address below with full details of their claim including their name, address, date of birth, national insurance number, employing company and, if applicable, the period which they were employed by Metal Closures together with any supporting documents within two months of the publication date of this notice.
After that date, the Trustee will proceed to wind up the Scheme having regard only to the legitimate claims and interests of which they have prior written notice of, and will not be liable to any person of whose claim they have not had notice.
For and on behalf of the Trustee of the Metal Closures Pension Scheme, c/o Isio Group, PO Box 163, Blyth, NE24 9GS.
