The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highways (North East) (No.31) Order 2024" authorising the stopping up of the whole of the footpath west of Hendon Valley Road, the whole of Amberley Street South, four lengths of unnamed highway north of Ward Court, four part widths of Amberley Street, three part widths of Harrogate Street, and a part width of Hendon Valley Road, at Hendon, in the City of Sunderland. This is to enable development as permitted by Sunderland City Council under reference 22/00970/FUL.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/5145). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Sunderland City Council, City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland, SR1 3AA.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 03 December 2024.
