1. The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, hereby gives notice that it made an Order –, Barking Road, Plaistow, E13 - UKPN (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic), Order 2024. The general effect of which will be to prevent vehicular and pedestrian traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public highway.

2. The Order is made to enable GTM working on behalf of UKPN and it contractors to carry out highway works, on or near the highway.

3. The prohibition applies from 0800hrs Thursday 16th May 2024 to 2359hrs Saturday 15th November 2025 or on completion of the works, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that works will be completed by 1800hrs Monday 27th May 2024.

4. The general effect of which will be to prohibit parking, at such times the when appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).

5. Vehicular and pedestrian access will be prohibited when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).

6. This Order will not apply to vehicles used by the Emergency Services, or in connection with the works, provided that the road space is available.
