These Regulations (The Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (No. 2) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024) amend the Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023 (S.R. 2023 No. 25) (“the principal Regulations”), to revise the definition of “household packaging”, clarify the division of responsibilities between brand owners, packers/fillers, importers and distributors; revise the definition of “scheme article” in relation to the Scottish Deposit and return Scheme, to require the Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs to publish a list of large producers and to make other amendments.
