PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990, SECTION 69 & 70
Notice is hereby given under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 Sections 69 & 70 that Mid Devon District Council has adopted the Cullompton Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan on the 23rd February 2022, and boundary changes to the Cullompton Conservation Area were confirmed. This followed public consultation on the document, on the 27th July 2021.
The amendments are described below, and the extent of the land involved in the boundary changes are shown on Map 1 of the Cullompton Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan, which can be viewed on the Council’s website.
The Cullompton Conservation Area has been divided into six different areas, to reflect the different character and appearance of these areas.
Revisions to the Cullompton Conservation Area include:
A. Addition of the Leat to the north of Station Road and the Leat between Higher Mill and Middle Lane. Also, the addition of the Leat south of Lower Mill.
B. Addition of the Tannery building east of Exeter Hill, addition of Land to the rear of Nos. 62-28 Fore Street and extension of the boundary to Land south of Walronds (to the rear of Nos.12-18 Fore Street).
C. Addition of Land to the west of Nos.54 and 60 Willand Road.
D. Removal of Nos. 51 to 61 Station Road, Clarks Court off Forge Way, Land south of Priory Cottage and removal of building to the rear of No. 5 Way’s Lane.
E. Removal of building to the east of 1b Tiverton Road, building to the east of the Old Scout Hut along Tiverton Road and removal of Land south of No.3 Stoneleigh Gardens.
