THE HARINGEY (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.79) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 10th February 2023 made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the Orders will be to introduce:-

1. Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, during school term times, between the prescribed hours below and when the appropriate signs are on display:

SS21 Waverley Road N8 – From its junction with the eastern kerb line of Crouch End Hill south east to its junction with the northern kerb line of Haslemere Road. Mon-Fri 8.30-9.30am 2.30-3.30pm
SS21 Haselmere Road N8 – From its junction with the eastern kerb line of Crouch End Hill generally east to its junction with the south western kerb line of Crouch Hill. Mon-Fri 8.30-9.30am 2.30-3.30pm
SS22 Earlham Grove N22 – From a point approximately 3 metres east of the eastern kerb line of the access road leading to George Meehan House and Register Office, east for its remaining length. Mon-Fri 8.30-9.15am 2.15-3.45pm
SS23 Parkhurst Road N17 – From its junction with the southern kerb line of Scotland Green, south to its junction with the northern kerb line of Thackeray Avenue. Mon-Fri 8.15-9.15am 3.00-4.00pm
SS23 Sherringham Avenue N17 – From its junction with the eastern kerb line of Parkhurst Road, east to its junction with the western kerb line of Cromer Road. Mon-Fri 8.15-9.15am 3.00-4.00pm
SS23 Seymour Avenue N17 – From its junction with the eastern kerb line of Parkhurst Road, east to its junction with the western kerb line of Hollington Road. Mon-Fri 8.15-9.15am 3.00-4.00pm

Those eligible for permits include residents who reside within the premises as detailed below, Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access, school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to the below schools. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

2. No Loading at any Time on the following lengths of roads:

Location

Haslemere Road –

SOUTH EAST SIDE: From its junction with south western kerb line of Crouch Hill, south west for approximately 4.5 metres.

NORTH WEST SIDE: From its junction with south western kerb line of Crouch Hill, south west for approximately 6.4 metres.

NORTH EAST SIDE: From its junction with south eastern kerb line of Crouch End Hill, south east for approximately 24 metres.

SOUTH WEST SIDE: From its junction with south eastern kerb line of Crouch End Hill, south east for approximately 15 metres.

Crouch End Hill –

SOUTH EAST SIDE: (1) From its junction with the north eastern kerb line of Haslemere Road, north east for approximately 15 metres. (2) From its junction with the south western kerb line of Haslemere Road, south west for approximately 15 metres.

Crouch Hill –

SOUTH WEST SIDE: (1) From its junction with south eastern kerb line of Haslemere Road, south east for approximately 7.4 metres. (2) SOUTH WEST SIDE: From its junction with north western kerb line of Haslemere Road, north west for approximately 7 metres.

Cromer Road – BOTH SIDES: from its junction with the northern kerb line of Sherringham Avenue, north for approximately 6.45 metres.

Sherringham Avenue – NORTH SIDE: (1) from its junction with the eastern kerb line of Cromer Road, east for approximately 7.3 metres. (2) from its junction with the western kerb line of Cromer Road, west for approximately 7.1 metres.

Hollington Road – BOTH SIDES: from its junction with the northern kerb line of Seymour Avenue, north for approximately 6.7 metres.

Windsor Road – BOTH SIDES: from its junction with the southern kerb line of Seymour Avenue, south for approximately 7.2 metres.

Seymour Avenue –

NORTH SIDE: (1) from its junction with the eastern kerb line of Hollington Road, east for approximately 3.7 metres. (2) NORTH SIDE: from its junction with the western kerb line of Hollington Road, west for approximately 7 metres.

SOUTH SIDE: (1) from its junction with the eastern kerb line of Windsor Road, east for approximately 7 metres. (2) from its junction with the western kerb line of Windson Road, west for approximately 7 metres.

Thackeray Avenue – BOTH SIDES: from its junction with the eastern kerb line of Parkhurst Road, east for approximately 7.4 metres.

Parkhurst Road – EAST SIDE: (1) from its junction with the northern kerb line of Thackeray Avenue, north for approximately 3.6 metres. (2) EAST SIDE: from its junction with the southern kerb line of Thackeray Avenue, south for approximately 5.6 metres.

Hampstead Lane – NORTH SIDE: (i) from its junction with the western kerb line of Bishopswood Road, west for 7.5 metres. (ii) from its junction with the eastern kerb line Bishopswood Road, east for 8.3 metres.

NOTES: These Orders supersede similar provisions at the above locations implemented by way of experimental Orders made under section 9 of the 1984 Act (which are now revoked).

3. Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 27th February 2023.

4. Further details: an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect the Orders during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR, or can be viewed online https://streets.appyway.com/haringey within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made.

5. Application to the high court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
