APPLICATION FOR THE STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAYS IN THE LANDOS ROAD AREA, MILES PLATTING, MANCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Manchester intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Crown Square, Manchester on Wednesday 16th November 2016 at 9.45am for Orders under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping-up of the lengths of highway specified in the Schedule hereto on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A plan showing the said highways may be inspected, without payment at Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension M60 2LA, (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB). Any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Orders may appear before the Court and make objections or representations thereto. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me, quoting reference L/GS/EVD5001/1248 before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear.

A length of footpath of width 1.6 metres commencing at a distance of 9 metres west of the western boundary of Landos Road at a distance of 93 metres south of its junction with Gunson Street and running in a south-westerly direction for 38 metres (marked 1 on the attached plan)

A length of footpath of width 1.6 metres commencing at a distance of 9 metres west of the western boundary of Landos Road at a distance of 63 metres south of its junction with Gunson Street and running in a south-westerly direction for 38 metres (marked 2 on the attached plan)

A length of footpath of width 3 metres commencing at the south-eastern boundary of Alfred James Close and running in a north-easterly direction for 13 metres to meet the unnamed footpath adjoining the front boundary of 2 and 4 Smallridge Close (marked 5 on the attached plan)

The whole of Alfred James Close comprising carriageway and footway commencing at a distance of 6 metres east of the boundary of Landos Road with a maximum width of 26 metres as measured in a southwest-northeast direction and a maximum length of 36 metres as measured in a northwest-southeast direction (marked 6 on the attached plan)

A length of footpath of width up to 6.4 metres commencing from the eastern boundary of Gunson Street at a distance of 23 metres south-west of its junction with Burnell Close and running in a southerly direction for 50 metres to meet the northern boundary of Alfred James Close (marked 7 on the attached plan)

A length of footpath of width 1.1 metres commencing at a distance of 4 metres west of the northern end of the unnamed footpath adjoining the front boundary of 18 and 20 Burnell Close and running in a south-westerly direction for 29 metres (marked 8 on the attached plan)
