THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL (DINGWALL GENERAL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2014

Notice is hereby given that The Highland Council on 19th August 2014 made an Order in terms of Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 53 and 84(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, entitled as above. This Order will come into effect on Monday 1st September 2014.

The Order was previously advertised as “The Highland Council (Dingwall General Traffic) Order 2013” by Notice in the Ross-shire Journal and the Edinburgh Gazette issue number 27312 reference number E-27312-7 on 11th October 2013

The effect of the Order is as described in that Notice and this includes a 10mph speed restriction on a section of the High Street extending to 250 metres or thereby and additional disabled parking spaces on the High Street, George Street, Castle Street and Wardens Lane to ensure pedestrian safety.

A copy of the Order as made, together with a copy of the relevant plan can be inspected at The Highland Council Service Point, Ross House, High Street, Dingwall, IV15 9RW weekdays 9.30 am – 4.30 pm and Council Offices, High Street, Dingwall, IV15 9QN weekdays 9.00 am – 5.00pm.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or that a requirement of the Act, or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the Court of Session.
