NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION PURSUANT TO SECTION 91 OF THE ACT
Notice is hereby given that the Financial Conduct Authority has, pursuant to the Friendly Societies Act 1974, cancelled the registration of the following societies on the dates as shown below:
Date: 22 November 2016
Carnforth Working Men’ s Club and Institute (Register No. 543 W) the registered office of which is at Red Court 152 Lancaster Road CARNFORTH Lancashire LA5 9EE. The grounds of the cancellation are that the society has wilfully violated section 43 of the Friendly Societies Act 1974 by not submitting to the Authority any annual returns acceptable for filing since that submitted for the society’ s financial year ending 31 December 2011.
Wainscott Institute (Register No. 375 W) the registered office of which is at 4 Wainscott Road, Wainscott ROCHESTER Kent ME2 4LB. The grounds of the cancellation are that the society has wilfully violated section 43 of the Friendly Societies Act 1974 by not submitting to the Authority any annual returns acceptable for filing since that submitted for the society’ s financial year ending 31 December 2012.

The grounds of the cancellation are that the society has wilfully violated section 43 of the Friendly Societies Act 1974 by not submitting to the Authority any annual returns acceptable for filing since that submitted for the society’ s financial year ending 31 December 2011.
Burnley St. Andrews Conservative Club and Institute (Register No. 613 W) the registered office of which is at 174 Colne Road BURNLEY Lancashire BB10 1DY. The grounds of the cancellation are that the society has wilfully violated section 43 of the Friendly Societies Act 1974 by not submitting to the Authority any annual returns acceptable for filing since that submitted for the society’ s financial year ending 31 December 2006.

The grounds of the cancellation are that the society has wilfully violated section 43 of the Friendly Societies Act 1974 by not submitting to the Authority any annual returns acceptable for filing since that submitted for the society’ s financial year ending 31 December 2006.
Bestwood Working Men’ s Club and Institute (Register No. 126 W) the registered office of which is at 62-64 Thanet Street, Clay Cross CHESTERFIELD Derbyshire S45 9JU. The grounds of the cancellation are that the society has wilfully violated section 43 of the Friendly Societies Act 1974 by not submitting to the Authority any annual returns acceptable for filing since that submitted for the society’ s financial year ending 31 December 2008.
Llanelly Working Men’ s Club and Institute (Register No. 2313 W) the registered office of which is at Mansel Arms Hall Street LLANELLI Dyfed SA15 3BB. The grounds of the cancellation are that the society has wilfully violated section 43 of the Friendly Societies Act 1974 by not submitting to the Authority any annual returns acceptable for filing since that submitted for the society’ s financial year ending its registration.
Each society listed above ceases to be entitled to the privileges of a registered society, but without prejudice to any liability incurred by the society, which may be enforced against it as if such cancellation had not taken place.
