The Gazette shortlisted for user experience award

UXUK LogoThe Gazette, published by The Stationery Office (TSO), was delighted to be shortlisted for a prestigious user experience (UX) award, in recognition of how the website is designed around customer needs.

The UXUK Awards recognise excellence in user-focused digital or service design. They are a celebration of great and innovative offerings, from organisations that take pride in providing the best possible online or joined-up experience.

The Gazette has been shortlisted in the ‘Best innovation’ category, for how the website is focused around customer needs. In its award submission, The Gazette demonstrated how it worked with users to create a new, innovative and trusted website.

Janine Eves, The Gazette’s Business and Operations Director, said: “The new Gazette website has opened up 350 years of history, and 3 million records have been migrated which can be searched by keyword, notice code, or by using search facets based on a user-centred taxonomy.

“Each notice now has its own provenance trail, allowing users to interrogate every step of the publishing process. Because the digital signatures guarantee authority, The Gazette is truly an innovative digital transformation, fit for the 21st century.”
