- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing (“the Council”) on the 13th March 2014 made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
- 2 The general effect of the Stop and Shop Parking Places Order will be to allow vehicles to remain in certain limited stay “stop and shop” parking places (as detailed in the Schedule to this Notice) beyond the current free parking period for an additional period of up to 2 hours on payment of a parking charge of £2 including the 20p transaction fee. The parking charge will be payable through the telephone payment system and will be required to be paid for by the end of the free parking period. The free parking place in The Grove will have its hours of operation extended to between 8.30 am and 7pm Mondays to Saturdays and the maximum free stay reduced to 1 hour.
- 3 Users of the telephone payment system should follow the instructions displayed in the parking place quoting the unique number relating to that parking place to the service provider and providing information as requested. Payment of the parking charge can then be made using most debit and credit cards. An optional charge of 10 pence will be payable to the service provider RingGo for text receipt for the parking session and expiry of parking reminder text messages. For further details please refer to the Ealing Council Web site (www.ealing.gov.uk/info/200332/parking/955/pay_for_parking_by_phone).
- 4 The general effect of the Disabled Persons, Loading Places and Residents Parking Orders will be to bring existing orders into line with the markings on the ground in Derwentwater Road, Horn Lane and Spencer Road.
- 5 The Orders, which will come into operation on 17th March 2014, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, are available for inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until the 24th April 2014.
- 6 If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
