ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A11 TRUNK ROAD (BARTON MILLS, SUFFOLK) (50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 201—
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27 of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A11 Trunk Road at Barton Mills in Suffolk.
The effect of the Order would be to impose a speed limit of 50 miles per hour on the A11 Trunk at Barton Mills between points between points 376 metres south-west of the centre line of its north-eastern junction with Newmarket Road and 48 metres north-east of its junction with the north-eastern side of the A11/A1101/A1065 Fiveways Roundabout, a distance of 1100 metres. The A11 Trunk Road (Chalk Hill to Barton Mills, Suffolk) (50 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2003 S.I. 2003/2162 would be revoked by this Order.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a location plan and a statement explaining the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during normal office hours, between 1 November 2013 and 22 November 2013, at Mildenhall Library, Chestnut Close, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP28 7NL; Thetford Library, Raymond Street, Thetford, Norfolk, IP24 2EA, or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Network Delivery and Development, Orders Section, Woodlands, Manton Lane, Bedford, MK41 7LW, quoting reference HA 02/2013.
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address stating the reasons for the objection no later than 22 November 2013, or within 3 weeks of the date of this publication, whichever is the latest.
