REVIEW OF LOADING RESTRICTIONS – VARIOUS STREETS
- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Common Council of the City of London on 10 May 2013 made an order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
- 2 The effect of the order will be to revoke the restriction on loading and unloading in certain streets and lengths of streets in the City and change the hours during which existing restrictions on loading and unloading apply in other streets and lengths of streets throughout the City. The affected streets are listed in the Schedule to this Notice
- 3 NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Common Council of the City of London on 10 May 2013 made an order under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
- 4 The effect of the order will be to change on an experimental basis the restrictions on loading and unloading in lengths of Cannon Street, Cornhill and St. Pauls Churchyard.
- 5 A copy of order referred to in paragraph 2 above, which will come into operation between 20 May 2013 and 5 June 2013 and of plans showing the affected streets can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the order was made at the Department of the Built Environment, Guildhall, London, EC2P 2EJ.
- 6 A copy of order referred to in paragraph 4 above, which will come into operation on 22 May 2013 and of a plan showing the affected streets can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive until 22 November 2013 at the above address.
- 7 Copies of the orders may be obtained from the above address or by telephoning 0207 332 1108.
- 8 Any person desiring to question the validity of the orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
- 9 If the provisions of the order made under section 9 continue in operation for a period of not less than six months, the Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of the order should be reproduced and continued in force indefinitely by means of an order made under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Persons desiring to object to the making of an order under section 6 of the said Act of 1984 for the purpose of such reproduction and continuation in force may, within the afore-mentioned period of six months send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of the Built Environment, Guildhall, London, EC2P 2EJ.
