NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
COMPANY: ABC NEWS INTERCONTINENTAL INC.
PENSION SCHEME: ABC NEWS INTERCONTINENTAL INC. RETIREMENT AND DEATH BENEFIT PLAN
The ABC News Intercontinental Inc. Retirement and Death Benefits Plan (“the Plan”) was established under a Trust Deed dated 1 October 1973. Capital Cranfield Trustees Limited was appointed as Trustee to the Plan on 16 November 2011.
Notice is hereby given to all parties who are or were Members of the Plan that it commenced winding-up on 19 November 2012 and all benefits will be secured through the purchase of annuity policies with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.
It is believed that all Members of the Plan and their benefits under it have been identified. If you were a Member of this Plan, or you are a widow, widower, child or dependant of a Member, and believe you may be entitled to benefits from it and you have not been contacted recently by the Trustees, please post notification of your claim to the contact below within 2 months of the date of this publication.
After this date the Trustee will proceed to wind up the Plan having regard only to the claims of which they then have notice, and will not be liable to anyone of whose claim they have had no notice.
Claimants’ particulars should include their full name, address, date of birth and details of their period of employment to which their claim applies.
Notification is not required from persons who are currently in receipt of a pension from the Plan, or who already have been contacted by the Trustees about this matter as the Trustees already have details of their entitlements.
