THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PARKING PLACES) (E ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. 4) ORDER 2012

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 25th June 2012 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the Orders will be to revise the layout of existing parking facilities in North Audley Street (between Oxford Street and Lees Place) in connection with public realm improvements. The location of pay-by-phone, residents’, and doctor parking places will be as follows:

Pay-by-Phone Parking

• outside No. 21 (2 bays)

• outside Nos. 15 to 20 (5 bays)

• outside Nos. 9 to 12 (4 bays)

• outside Nos. 27 to 29 (3 bays)

(There will be a net loss of 3 pay-by-phone bays);

Residents’ Parking

outside Nos. 30 to 37 (to create a continuous bay with approximately 7 spaces. There will no loss/gain of residents’ parking space);

Doctors’ Parking

outside No. 7 (to relocate the existing bay from the west to the east side).

  • 3 In addition, double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions will be introduced at the junctions of North Audley Street with North Row, Providence Court, Green Street, Lees Place, and outside Nos. 12 and ‘One Mayfair’. The remaining lengths of North Audley Street (other than in the designated parking places referred to in paragraph 2 above) will be marked with single yellow line waiting restrictions.
  • 4 The Orders, which will come into force on 30th June 2012 and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 6th August 2012 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at West One, 10th Floor, Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP.
  • 5 Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
