THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (BETWS-Y-COED, CONWY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 201

Notice is hereby given that the Welsh Ministers propose to make an Order under Legislation section: sections 1(1), 2(1), and 4(2) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to prohibit waiting on the sides of the lengths of the A5 London to Holyhead Trunk Road (hereinafter referred to as “the trunk road”) at Betws-Y-Coed in the County of Conwy, as described in the Schedule to this Notice.

During a period of 21 days from 28 June 2012, copies of the proposed Order together with a plan and a Statements of Reasons for the making of the Order, may be inspected free of charge, during normal office hours at the Llanwrst Library, Plas yn Dre, Station Road, Llanwrst LL26 0DF or may be obtained free of charge from the address below.

Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to the Welsh Government, Transport Orders Branch, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ, by 19 July 2012. Please note: Should you wish to object, support or make representations, we may need to consult with people and organisations outside of the Welsh Government. As part of the process of consulting with others we may pass information to them, including information you have given us and your personal data. We will however, only disclose your personal details where it is necessary to do so to enable us to deal with issues you have brought to our attention.

Lengths of the A5 trunk road at Betws-y-Coed in the county of Conwy.

The southern side of that length of the A5 trunk road, from a point 15 metres west to the centreline of its junction with the Dolydd Terrace, Pentre Du in an easterly direction to a point 15 metres east of the centreline of that junction.

The southern side of that length of the A5 trunk road, from a point 15 metres west of the centreline of its junction with the Ffordd Gethin, Bro Gethin in an easterly direction to a point 30 metres east of the centreline of that junction.

The western side of that length of the A5 trunk road known as Holyhead Road, Betws-y-Coed, from a point 15 metres north of the centreline of its junction with Vicarage Road, in a southerly direction to a point 15 metres south of the centreline of that junction.
