AMENDMENTS TO PARKING PLACES AND INTRODUCTION OF SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR RESTRICTIONS, WAITING RESTRICTIONS, A DOCTOR’S BAY AND DISABLED BAYS – WAKEHURST ROAD SW11

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Orders under Legislation section: section 6, Legislation section: 45, Legislation section: 46, Legislation section: 49 and Legislation section: 124 of and Legislation section: Part IV of Legislation section: Schedule 9 to the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Legislation: Local Government Act 1985 and the Legislation: Traffic Management Act 2004

• The Wandsworth (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (No.-) Order 20

• The Wandsworth (Clapham Junction) (Parking Places) (No. -) Traffic Order 20

• The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. -) Order 20

• The Wandsworth (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No.-) Order 20

• The Wandsworth (Doctor Parking Place) (No. -) Order 20

  • 2 The general effect of the Orders would be to introduce a 25.56 metre long School Keep Clear marking (operating from 7.30am to 9am and from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday), two mandatory disabled bays for Blue Badge holders only at any time, and a doctor’s parking bay operational from 8am to 8pm each day in Wakehurst Road outside the rear temporary entrance to the new Bolingbroke Academy. Existing parking places opposite Stephen Saunders Court and Nos. 7 to 9 Wakehurst Road would be amended to accommodate the new restrictions and bays. A single yellow line operating from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, would also be introduced to cover the area where the School Keep Clear marking is located.
  • 3 Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders, including plans showing the location of the proposals, are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Concourse, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU . The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.   • 4 Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Director of Environment and Community Services at the address below (quoting the reference ES/TMO1282) by 20th July 2012 .
