(WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO 336) ORDER 2012

ZONE GC EXTENSION

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, has made the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended by the Local Government Act 1985), and all other enabling powers. The Orders were made on 27th June 2012 and shall come into force on 9th July 2012.
  • 2 The general effect of the Orders is
    • a to introduce waiting restrictions at the times specified, in lengths of the roads detailed in Schedule 1 to this Notice;
    • b to introduce permit parking bays in lengths of the roads detailed in Schedule 2 to this Notice. The bays will operate between 8.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive;
    • c to introduce shared use parking bays in lengths of Frinton Road and Gunton Road operating between 8.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, maximum stay 10 hours costing £1.10 per hour and free to valid permit holders.
    • d to introduce a motor cycle bay outside Nos. 34 and 36 Deal Road.
  • 3 A copy of the Orders, plans identifying the areas affected by the Orders and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be inspected during the Council’s normal office hours Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey
  • 4 Any person desiring to question the validity of these Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may, within six weeks from the date which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
