ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE M4 MOTORWAY (LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW) (BUS LANE) ORDER 1998 REVOCATION ORDER 201

The Secretary of State for Transport gives notice that she proposes to make a permanent Order under section 6(1) and (3) of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the M4 Motorway in the London Borough of Hounslow.

The effect of the Order would be to revoke the Order authorising the operation of the bus lane on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 between Junctions 3 and 2, between a point 19 metres east of marker post 21.8 and a point 12 metres west of marker post 16.0, a total distance of approximately 5.78 kilometres. This would supersede an experimental Order to this effect that is currently in force.

A copy of the draft Order, of a plan illustrating the proposal, of the Order to be revoked, of the experimental Order and of a statement explaining why the Secretary of State proposes to make the Order may be inspected during office hours at the offices of the London Borough of Hounslow, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN and during opening hours at Chiswick Library, Duke’s Avenue, Hounslow, W4 2AB until the end of the objection period indicated below.

Any person desiring to object or make representations to the Secretary of State’s proposal should send, not later than 18 May 2012, a written statement of his or her representation or objection and of the grounds thereof to Network Delivery & Development, Highways Agency, Floor 4C, Federated House, London Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SZ, quoting the reference HA/M4/41/10/15.
