- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
- 2 The general effect of the Orders would be to introduce:
- a a new ‘pedestrian zone’ at the junction of West Green Road and Philip Lane, N15 (the north side of the triangle site) in which the use of motorised vehicles would be prohibited, except vehicles requiring access to the Langham Sports Centre / Langham School;
- b a new single yellow line outside No. 263 Philip Lane and the side of No. 10 Spur Road, N15 in which the waiting of vehicles is would be prohibited between the hours of 8:30am and 6pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive;
- c introduce new double yellow lines at the following locations:
• West Green Road, (i) outside Nos. 268 to 274 West Green Road, N15; (ii) both sides of the length on the south side of the triangle;
• Spur Road, N15, on all lengths not occupied by parking bays;
• Cornwall Road, N15, both sides, within 7 metres of its junction with West Green Road.
- 3 FURTHER NOTICE is given that the Council will introduce new zebra pedestrian crossings under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, as amended. The crossings will be located at the following locations:
• Philip Lane, N15, at its junction with Spur Road, N15;
• West Green Road, N15, (i) outside No. 265; (ii) approximately 32 metres east of its junction with Cornwall Road; (iii) outside No. 247.
Zig-zag markings will be laid either side of the crossings, on which the stopping by vehicles will be prohibited at any time.
- 4 Copies of the proposed Orders, the Orders being amended and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders, speed table and pedestrian crossings may be inspected during normal office working hours at Sustainable Transport Group, River Park House, 2nd Floor (South), 225 High Road, Wood Green, N22 8HQ.
- 5 Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Sustainable Transport Group, River Park House, 2nd Floor (South), 225 High Road, Wood Green, N22 8HQ within 21 days of the date on which this Notice is published.
