TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.30) Order 2010” authorising the stopping up of a triangular shaped southern part width of Corporation Street, comprising highway verge and footway, commencing at a point 2.28 metres east of the north western corner of the Garside Waddingham building and extending in a westerly direction for a distance of 15 metres when measured along the southern boundary and having a maximum width of 2.16 metres, at Preston in the City of Preston to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Kubic Design by Preston City Council on 7 September 2009 under reference 06/2009/0060.
COPIES OF THE ORDER MAY BE OBTAINED, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State, addressed to the National Transport Casework Team, Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH (quoting reference NATTRAN/NW/S247/125) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Harris Library, Market Square, Preston, Lancs PR1 2PP.
ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the 14 July 2010 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
