GREAT SUFFOLK STREET AT SOUTHWARK BRIDGE ROAD - JUNCTION IMPROVEMENTS
ABBEY STREET AND SOUTHWARK PARK ROAD - BUS STOP IMPROVEMENTS
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 2) ORDER 2009
- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) on 29th October 2009 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
- 2 The general effect of the Order will be to introduce new lengths of ‘At any time’ Waiting Restrictions at the following locations:-
ABBEY STREET, (i) the north-west side, between the north-eastern kerb-line of the access road to Lupin Point and Nos. 1-30 Arnold Estate and a point 5.5 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Old Jamaica Road, (ii) the south-east side, between the south-western kerb-line of Old Jamaica Road and a point 26 metres south-west of that kerb-line;
GREAT SUFFOLK STREET, (i) the north-east side, between the north-western kerb-line of Southwark Bridge Road and a point 19 metres north-west of that kerb-line, (ii) the south-west side, between the north-western kerb-line of Southwark Bridge Road and a point 21 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Webber Street;
SOUTHWARK BRIDGE ROAD, (i) the north-west side, between a point 18.5 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Great Suffolk Street and a point 30 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Great Suffolk Street, (ii) the south-east side, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Great Suffolk Street and a point 18.5 metres north of that kerb-line;
SOUTHWARK PARK ROAD, the east side, between a point 10 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Gataker Street and a point 16 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Gataker Street;
WEBBER STREET, (i) the north-west side, between the south-western kerb-line of Great Suffolk Street and a point 30 metres south-west of that kerb-line, (ii) the south-east side, between the south-western kerb-line of Great Suffolk Street and a point 7.5 metres south-west of that kerb-line.
- 3 Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 2nd November 2009, and of all other relevant documents are available for inspection until the end of a period of six weeks from the date the Orders were made at the upon request at Road Network & Parking, Public Realm, 160 Tooley Street, London SE1P 5LX. - 4 Any persons desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
