THE STOPPING UP OF PART OF AN AREA OF HIGHWAY LAND AT NORTHAMPTON, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
TAKE NOTICE that Northamptonshire County Council being the local highway authority intends to apply to Northampton Magistrates’ Court for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of part of the highway described in the Schedule to this Notice on the ground that it is unnecessary for public use.
The application is to be heard by Northampton Magistrates Court sitting at The Court House, Campbell Square, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 3EB on Friday 21st August 2009 at 2:15pm
The effect of the Order sought will be to prevent all traffic (both vehicular and pedestrian) using the highway shown for the purposes of identification only coloured red on the Order Plan which may be inspected at the offices of the Head of Legal Services, County Hall, Northampton, NN1 1DN between the hours of 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm Monday to Friday inclusive (Ref:L/SM/H-001852).
On hearing the application, any person to whom this Notice has been given, any person who uses the highway, or any other person who may be aggrieved by the making of this Order, has a right to be heard.
