- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
- 2 The general effect of the Orders would be to:
- a remove a pay by phone parking bay outside No. 23 Albemarle Street;
- b introduce an electric vehicle recharging bay on the north-west side of Carlisle Street, adjacent to No. 38 Soho Square. (Please note that this proposal would necessitate the relocation of the disabled persons’ parking bay and doctors’ parking bay at this location south-westward by approximately 5 metres).
- 3 The recharging bay referred to in paragraph (b) above would be available for electric vehicles only “at any time”, without charge, provided that:
- a the vehicle is connected to the recharging post (via a re-charging lead provided by the Council) at all times while it is left at the recharging point;
- b the vehicle is displaying a Westminster Electric Vehicle Eco-Mark;
- c electric vehicles would be restricted to a maximum stay of four hours at the recharging bays between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays. An electric vehicle may be left for an unlimited period outside of those hours; and
- d if a vehicle is left at a recharging point between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays, it may not return to that recharging point on the same day.
- 4 The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at:
• West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AJ; and
• One Stop Shop, City Hall, 62 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP.
- 5 Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Council’s agents, West One, telephone number (020) 7798 1987.

All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
