THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (BARNET) RED ROUTE (CLEARWAY) CONSOLIDATION TRAFFIC ORDER 2008 A1 GLA ROAD (FALLODEN WAY) VARIATION ORDER 2009

  • 1 Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 15 April 2009 it made the above-named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  • 2 The A1 GLA Road (Barnet and Haringey) Red Route (Clearway) Traffic Order 2000 Experimental Variation Order (No 2) 2007 (“the experimental Order”) was made under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and came into force on 25 October 2008.
  • 3 The general nature and effect of the experimental Orders was to extend the parking bays along Falloden Way on the south side outside Nos 118-124.
  • 4 Transport for London has carefully considered whether or not the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued indefinitely and has decided that they should be so continued.
  • 5 Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on Local Authorities by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and in accordance with regulation 23 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, Transport for London has made The GLA Roads and GLA Side Roads (Barnet) Red Route (Clearway) Consolidation Traffic Order 2008 A1 GLA Road (Falloden Way) Variation Order 2009 (“the permanent Order”). That Order will come into force on 24 April 2009, and the effect of that Order will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the experimental Order.
  • 6 The road affected by the permanent Order is A1 Falloden Way in the London Borough of Barnet.
  • 7 A copy of the permanent Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and a copy of the experimental Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of:

Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team (STOT/RNM), Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NJ; and London Borough of Barnet, North London Business Park, Oakleigh Road South, London N11 1NP.

  • 8 Any person wishing to question the validity of the permanent Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
