Smith & Williamson Trust Corporation Ltd (S&WTC) has been appointed as Corporate Independent Trustee of the above mentioned pension arrangement and hereby announce following confirmation from the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) that the assessment period under the Scheme has commenced we are liaising with it to determine whether it will assume responsibility for the Scheme. During the assessment period S&WTC will continue to administer the Scheme subject to certain restrictions and controls.

The PPF is a statutory fund run by the Board of the PPF (the “Board”), which is a statutory corporation established under the provisions of the Pension Act 2004. It has been established to pay compensation to members of eligible defined benefit Pension Schemes, when there is a qualifying insolvency event in relation to the employer and where there are insufficient assets in the Pension Scheme to cover PPF levels of compensation.

Any person who believes that they are entitled to Pension Rights under the above Scheme and who has not received correspondence from S&WTC should contact Julia Ridger at the address below within one month of the appearance of this notice.

Furthermore S&WTC would be interested to receive a notification from any person who was employed by H841 Ltd (formerly H. Huntsman & Sons Ltd), Fandual Ltd (formerly Henry Maxwell & Co. Ltd), Rowes of Bond Street Ltd, or S Allan & Co. (Treemakers) Ltd on a part time basis and who is intending to bring a claim based on inequality of treatment or access to the Scheme for part-timers.
