Notice is hereby given that RES UK & Ireland Limited (“the Company”) has applied under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989, for consent of the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change to construct and operate a wind turbine development on land between the Nant yr Eira valley and Llyn Gwyddior, centred on grid ref: E294500 N306500, between Llanbrynmair and Llanerfyl, Powys, Wales, and for a direction, under section 90(2) of the Town & Planning Act 1990, that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.

A copy of the application, with plans showing the land to which it relates, together with a copy of the Environmental Statement, explaining the company’s proposals in more detail and presenting an analysis of the environmental implications, and a non-technical summary thereof, may be inspected, during normal office hours, at the following addresses:

Copies of the full Environmental Statement are available from RES priced £150 each. A Loan Copy of the full ES can be supplied free of charge for limited duration. Copies of the ES are available on CD-ROM for £25. Copies of the non-technical summary are available free of charge. The non technical summary can also be viewed on the RES web page www.res-group.com with more details on the project at www.llanbrynmairwindfarm.co.uk. Requests for either document should be made in writing, including payment if purchase of the full ES is required from: RES UK & Ireland Ltd, Beaufort Court, Egg Farm Lane, Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, WD4 8LR.

Any objections to the proposal, stating the name of the development and the grounds of the objection, should be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change c/o Bay 2121, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H OET, or you can contact John Swift at the Department of Energy and Climate Change by email to:- john.swift@decc.gsi.gov.uk or phone on 020 7215 6076 not later than 15th May 2009. Other representations are also welcome. Unless otherwise indicated, copies of any objections, and other representations received, will be regarded as public documents.

During the consideration of the proposal the Secretary of State may formally request further information from the developer to supplement the Environmental Statement, and materially relevant additional information may also be generated. If that happens further public notices will give advice on how representations may be made to the Secretary of State on this material.

Following receipt of all views and representations the Secretary of State will either grant or refuse consent for the proposal (with or without conditions). This may involve holding a public inquiry first, depending on whether there is a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or the Secretary of State decides to exercise his discretion to call a public inquiry in the light of objection by other persons.

This notice is being re-advertised due to an error in the previous notices of 1st April 2009 and 2nd April 2009 which quoted an incorrect date by which responses should be made. As per above, the correct date by which responses should be made is 15th May 2009.
