NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR AN ORDER FOR STOPPING UP A SECTION OF THE HIGHWAY AT WESTERN ROAD FRONTING WOOD GREEN COMMON IN TERMS OF SECTION 116 AND SCHEDULE 12 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
NOTICE is hereby given that the London Borough of Haringey (“the Council”) intend to apply to the Haringey Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Lordship Lane, Tottenham, London N17 6RT at 10:00 a.m. on 11 May 2009 for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of the highway in the schedule hereunder on the ground that the said highway is unnecessary.
A copy of the draft order and the accompanying Plan may be inspected free of charge at the council offices at 1st Floor South, River Park House, 225 High Road, Wood Green N22 8HQ on weekdays from 3 April 2009 until 3 May 2009 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Any objection or representation in respect of the application to stop up the highway must be made in writing to the Head of Sustainable Transport, for the attention of Malcolm Smith, at the address above by no later than 3 May 2009.
Any person to whom this notice has been given under the Highways Act 1980 or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order, may appear before the Magistrates’ Court on the application date to raise an objection to, or make a representation on, the application.
Schedule:
A parcel of land 29 square metres in extent, on the northern side of Western Road between a corner and the access road to number 22 Western Road in the Borough of Haringey, coloured green on the plan attached.
