NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991 SECTION 58
NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS
- 1 Three months advance notice is hereby given that Kirklees Metropolitan Council - Highways Service intends to carry out substantial road works involving Resurfacing
- 2 The streets in which these works will take place
- i Halifax Old Road (USRN 19422845);
- ii Cobcroft Road (USRN 19402194), Fartown, Huddersfield
- 3 Work is expected to affect the carriageway
- i Birkby Hall Road to King Cliffe Road and
- ii Halifax Old Road to Percy Street
- 4 Work is expected to commence on 06/07/2009 and be completed 13/07/2009
(Work should begin within six months of this date).
- 5 The works notified will include the following:-
Carriageway - plane and surface
- 6 Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period 3 years from completion of works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
- 7 Statutory undertakers are asked to note that, for the purposes of section 55 of the Act they must give notice of any works in their schedule of works, or works of which they may be aware, which would involve breaking up the part of the highway to which this reinstatement will apply within 20 days of the publication of this notice.
