THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (FREE PARKING PLACE) (BICYCLES) (NO. 2) ORDER 2009

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 23rd March 2009 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the Orders will be in connection with the redevelopment of Chesham House, Regent Street, to:
    • a revise the layout of the existing parking facilities in Warwick Street to provide parking places at the following locations:
      • i outside Nos. 21 to 24 Warwick Street (4x “Pay by Phone” bays);
      • ii outside No. 14 Warwick Street (5x “Pay by Phone” bays);
      • iii outside the Church and Nos. 10 to 11 Warwick Street (6x “Pay by Phone” bays);
      • iv outside No. 9 Warwick Street (3x residents’ parking spaces)
      • v outside Hammersley House, Nos. 5‑8 and Nos. 1-4 Warwick Street (6x “Pay by Phone” bays);
      • vi outside Nos. 38-40 (2x “Pay by Phone” bays);

(vii) outside No. 46 (1x “Pay by Phone” bay);

  • 3 There will be no net loss of parking provisions as a result of these proposals.
  • 4 The Orders, which will come into force on 30th March 2009, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6AJ, until 4th May 2009.
  • 5 Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
