VARIATIONS TO THE DESIGNATED ABERCROMBIE STREET CONSERVATION AREA, CHESTERFIELD, DERBYSHIRE

Notice is hereby given that on the 10th February 2009, Chesterfield Borough Council, the local planning authority for the area, varied the designated area of the Abercrombie Street Conservation Area, under section 69 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 (“the Act”). The effect of the variation is to subject the areas listed below shown on the plan attached to the report to Cabinet on 10th February 2009 to the provisions of Part II of the Act and the restriction of certain permitted development rights under the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995.

• Boundary extension to the north of the Conservation Area to include Abercrombie Primary School buildings and No. 43 Victoria Street, No. 68 St Helen’s Street, No. 54 and Nos. 5 to 19 (odd numbers) Sheffield Road

• The walled garden to St Helena School to the east of the building
