THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO. 7) (AMENDMENT NO. 6) ORDER 2009

RELATING TO REDFORD AVENUE, WALLINGTON

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above mentioned Orders on 16 March 2009 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
  • 2 The principal objective of the Order is to introduce a contra-flow cycle lane in Redford Avenue between Link Lane and Stafford Road. Note: the scheme will include the relocation of the bus stand from the west side to the east side of Redford Avenue.
  • 3 The general effect of The Sutton (Prescribed Route) (Cycle Lane and One-Way) (No. 1) Order 2009 will be to introduce a contra-flow cycle lane in Redford Avenue, Wallington on the west side between its junctions with Link Lane and Stafford Road.
  • 4 The general effect of The Sutton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. 7) (Amendment No. 6) Order 2009 will be to:—
    • a introduce loading restrictions “no loading / unloading at any time” in Redford Avenue, Wallington on the west side between its junctions with Link Lane and Stafford Road; and
    • b extend existing waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” in Redford Avenue, Wallington on the west side between its junctions with Link Lane and Stafford Road.
  • 5 Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 23 March 2009, and containing the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders, and a plan showing the location and effect of the Orders may be examined at:
  • 6 If any person wishes to question the validity of these Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
