Sefton Council is asking the public and other interested parties to comment on a key housing study. The draft findings of the “Strategic Housing Market Assessment” are available for public consultation for a 6-week period until 23rd April. The study, which was prepared by independent consultants Fordham Research, will help shape the council’s housing strategy and future development plans for the Borough.

Consultants have estimated housing need and demand across the Borough, including the need for affordable housing. The study has also looked at the accommodation requirements of specific groups such as black and minority ethnic households, key workers and older people.
