HORNSEY STREET WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS

THE ISLINGTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 200*

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington proposes to make the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 32, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
  • 2 The general effect of the above-mentioned Orders would be to further amend The Islington (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Consolidation Order 2004 so as to:
    • a introduce “at any time” waiting restrictions, including waiting for the purpose of loading or unloading goods from the vehicle, on the south side of Hornsey Street;
    • b introduce waiting restrictions which would operate between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays, and on Match and Event Days on Hornsey Street, the north-west side:
      • i between a point 303.5 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Holloway Road and a point 264 metres south-west of that kerb-line;
      • ii between a point 245.5 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Holloway Road and a point 211 metres south-west of that kerb-line;
      • iii between a point 143.5 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Holloway Road and a point 65.5 metres south-west of that kerb-line;
      ii between a point 245.5 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Holloway Road and a point 211 metres south-west of that kerb-line; iii between a point 143.5 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Holloway Road and a point 65.5 metres south-west of that kerb-line;
    • c introduce waiting restrictions which would operate at any time except Match and Event Days on Hornsey Street, the north-west side, between a point 192 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Holloway Road and a point 166 metres south-west of that kerb-line.
  • 3 A copy of the proposed Orders, plans indicating details of the proposals, and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or as the case may be, the Council decide not to make the Orders, at the following location:

  • 4 Any person who wishes to object or to make other representations about any of the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are made to Public Realm, Islington Borough Council, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1XR (quoting reference TMO 2672/Hornsey Street Waiting and Loading Amendments), within the period of twenty one days from the date on which this Notice is published.
