THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 200*

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the Orders would be to amend the layout of parking arrangements in the vicinity of the U.S. Embassy as follows:
    • a to replace 5 existing ‘pay and display’ parking bays from opposite Nos. 18 and 20 to 21 Grosvenor Square with 5 ‘pay by phone’ parking bays outside that address;
    • b to introduce double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions across the closed north and south ends of the western arm of Grosvenor Square;
    • c to replace the double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions outside No. 18 Grosvenor Square with single yellow lines (Monday to Saturday, 08.30 am – 6.30 pm);
    • d to remove the double yellow kerb blip ‘at any time’ loading restrictions outside Nos. 18 and 20 to 21 Grosvenor Square and outside Nos. 1 to 2 North Audley Street;
    • e to replace the 5 existing ‘pay by phone’ parking bays outside Nos. 72 to 78 Brook Street with 5 residents parking spaces and extend the existing ‘pay by phone’ parking places outside Nos. 65 to 73 Brook Street with 3 additional parking places;
    • f to replace the double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions outside No. 77 Brook Street with single yellow lines (Monday to Saturday, 08.30 am – 6.30 pm);
    • g to introduce 5 residents parking places outside Nos. 1 and 2 North Audley Street and 3 ‘pay by phone’ parking places opposite that address;
    • h to extend the existing residents parking space outside No. 45 Park Street with 1 additional parking place;
    • i to introduce double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the eastern side of Park Street where Culross Street is closed;
    • j to replace the double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions outside and opposite Nos. 78 and 80 Park Street with single yellow lines (Monday to Saturday, 08.30 am – 6.30 pm); and
    • k to introduce double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions outside Nos. 38 to 39 Upper Grosvenor Street.
  • 3 The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AJ, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders.   • 5 Any objections or other representations about the proposed Orders should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AJ, or email TMO@westonejv.co.uk quoting reference 5566/AJ, by 27th March 2009. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
